Since 1975, Bay Piano Tuner has helped Peninsula families and musicians keep their pianos in tune and playing beautifully. From routine tuning to detailed repairs, every visit gets patient, expert care.
Bay Piano Tuner began with a hands-on apprenticeship in a respected piano rebuilding shop. Since 1975, we have tuned, repaired, and restored pianos of every style and age, from family uprights and rare antique square grands to fine Steinway, Bechstein, and Bösendorfer grands.
Every tuning takes two hours or more, because careful work lasts longer. Our goal is simple: a piano that sounds balanced, plays evenly, and keeps its owner completely happy.
Every appointment follows a clear, unhurried process, so your piano receives the time and attention it truly deserves.
We open the piano, check strings, pins, hammers, and keys, and note anything that needs attention first.
Each of the 230+ strings is carefully set using a trained ear and advanced digital tuning tools.
We play across the keyboard, touch up any notes, and make sure the piano sounds even and stable.
From routine tuning to detailed repair work, we offer complete piano care that keeps your instrument sounding rich, stable, and enjoyable to play.
Stable, ear-pleasing tunings using ear and digital tools, backed by a six-month guarantee for normal tunings.
Sticking keys, noisy actions, broken strings, and pedal problems repaired with decades of hands-on piano experience.
Careful voicing and regulation create even tone and smooth, responsive touch across every key of your piano.
Choosing the right piano technician makes a real difference in how your instrument sounds and feels. At Bay Piano Tuner, we never rush. Each tuning takes two hours or more, giving every string the attention it needs for lasting stability. We combine a trained ear with digital tools to create a custom temperament for each piano’s unique scale, and we also remove false beats and handle pitch raises.
We tune and service all styles and sizes, from everyday uprights to rare antiques. Weekend appointments are available, and we are happy to answer every question.
To help every piano in our community sound its best and bring lasting joy to the people who play it.
To deliver precise, honest, and unhurried piano care that musicians and families can trust for years to come.
