We combine a trained ear with advanced digital tuning devices to create a custom temperament and stretch that suits the unique scale of each piano.
Each tuning takes two hours or more, as we set every one of the 230+ strings and tuning pins for stability. We also spring-load the non-speaking string lengths, so notes hold steady under heavy playing. Normal tunings are guaranteed for six months, and we gladly return to touch up any notes that drift out of tune.
